Job Overview

Flame Health Audiology have been instructed to recruit an Audiology Area Manager for a field-based role covering Greater London, East Anglia and the surrounding region, with remote or home-based working available.

Offering a base salary of £57,000–£59,000, this position will suit an experienced audiology or optical professional with a strong record in business development, together with multi-site management and team leadership.

About the Job

You will lead regional growth and operational performance while managing clinical and commercial audiologists and Hearing Care Assistants. A key part of the role is supporting independent optical partners, from new site launches through a six-week onboarding plan to local open days and effective go-live arrangements. You will develop commercial relationships, shape growth plans and encourage full hearing assessments through team engagement and local marketing activity.

You will monitor performance using KPIs, return on investment and quarterly business reviews, while identifying opportunities to work with additional partners. Regular practice visits and fortnightly virtual team meetings will help you support colleagues, promote clinical excellence and strengthen hearing care within optical practices. You will also work with internal teams across marketing, recruitment, professional services and new business, as well as senior leaders, to support recruitment, onboarding and expansion.

About the Employer

Our client is a growing UK hearing care provider working with independent optical partners. Its service combines clinical and commercial audiology, with a focus on patient care and strong relationships with partner practices.

The role offers the chance to influence the development of hearing care across a broad region, working alongside experienced colleagues and senior leaders. The position also includes a performance-based bonus scheme, a company car or car allowance, a health cash plan, pension provision, a gym membership contribution and annual leave entitlement.

What We Are Looking For

A background in audiology or optics is essential. You will bring proven experience in business development and multi-site people leadership, alongside a track record of managing and developing clinical teams. Strong commercial awareness and the ability to deliver operationally are important, as is confidence in building effective relationships with partners and other stakeholders.

You will be able to influence people across different internal departments, collaborate to improve team and partner performance, and delegate effectively. Excellent interpersonal skills are needed to support colleagues, develop relationships and encourage high standards across the region.

Who This Role Suits

This role will appeal to an experienced audiology or optical leader ready to combine people management with regional growth and partner development. It offers scope to influence how hearing care is delivered across multiple practices while supporting clinical teams and contributing to the expansion of the service.

Job Location

The role covers Central London and the surrounding region, with field-based work and remote or home-based working. The position involves regular visits to partner practices.
