Flame Health Audiology has been instructed by our client, a family-run audiology provider with around 50 years of experience, to recruit an Audiologist in Winchester. This confidential opportunity is focused primarily on domiciliary care and offers the successful candidate the chance to deliver hearing services in patients’ homes while developing a local territory.
An Audiologist is sought for a domiciliary role based in Winchester, with a basic salary of £30,000, rising to £35,000–£40,000 for candidates with strong experience and qualifications. The package also includes a car allowance of approximately £6,000–£7,000, paid mileage and commission, with an OTE of £120,000. It may suit an audiologist who enjoys working in the community and is motivated by the potential to grow their earnings through performance.
Around 90% of the role is expected to involve home visits across a local territory. You will carry out hearing tests, fittings and associated services, with appointments arranged by a diary manager and typically consisting of a mix of tests and fittings. Visits usually last around an hour and a half, with three to six appointments on a typical day.
Working days are flexible. You will receive the equipment and audiometer needed for the role, and training may include up to six to eight weeks on the road with a qualified audiologist, depending on your experience. Mileage is paid for work-related travel, which must be recorded. A company car may be available after a probationary period for someone considered to have long-term potential, with fuel paid.
Our client is a family-run business with a long-standing presence in audiology and is looking to expand its operations into new areas. Its model centres on providing care in patients’ homes. The role offers the opportunity to contribute directly to developing a local territory, with independence and community-based patient care at its heart.
You will be an audiologist comfortable carrying out hearing tests and fittings in a domiciliary setting, travelling within a territory and taking a sales-focused approach to your work. Strong experience and qualifications are valued, with the potential for a higher basic salary for candidates who can demonstrate them.
The role calls for someone able to manage appointments independently, keep accurate records of work-related travel and provide considered care during home visits. An interest in flexible working and motivation to earn commission linked to performance will also be relevant.
This position could suit an audiologist looking for greater ownership of their working day and the opportunity to build a territory through community-based care. It may appeal to someone who values flexibility and is motivated by a role where performance can contribute to earnings.
The role is based in Winchester, with domiciliary appointments across the surrounding territory.
