Flame Health Audiology have been instructed by our client, a family-run audiology provider, to recruit an Audiologist in Oxford. This confidential opportunity is centred on delivering hearing care in patients’ homes and developing a local territory. It offers a blend of clinical work, independent diary management and a performance-linked commercial element, with flexible working days and support to help you get established in the role.
An Audiologist is sought for a predominantly domiciliary role in Oxford, with a basic salary of £30,000, rising to £35,000–£40,000 for candidates with strong experience and qualifications. The package includes an approximate £6,000–£7,000 car allowance, paid mileage and commission, with an OTE of £120,000. This role may suit an audiologist who enjoys community-based patient care and is motivated to develop a territory and earnings through their work.
Around 90% of the role is expected to involve home visits across Oxford and the surrounding territory. You will carry out hearing tests, fittings and associated services, with appointments arranged by a diary manager and typically comprising a mix of tests and fittings. Visits usually last around an hour and a half, with three to six appointments on a typical day.
Working days are flexible, and mileage is paid for required travel, which must be recorded. The equipment and audiometer needed for the role will be provided. Depending on your experience, training may include up to six to eight weeks on the road alongside a qualified audiologist. A company car may be available after a probationary period for someone considered to have long-term potential, with fuel paid.
Our client is a family-run business with an established presence in audiology and plans to expand its operations into new areas. Its model is centred on providing care in patients’ homes, with a likely shopfront and operating base also contributing to its local presence. The role offers the chance to play a direct part in developing a territory while delivering community-based hearing care.
You will be an audiologist comfortable carrying out hearing tests and fittings in a domiciliary setting, travelling within a territory and taking a sales-focused approach to your work. Strong experience and qualifications are valued and may support a higher basic salary. You should be able to manage appointments independently, keep accurate records of work-related travel and provide considered care during home visits. A commercial outlook and motivation to work flexibly, with commission linked to performance, will also be important.
This opportunity could suit an audiologist ready to take greater ownership of their working day and build experience delivering care in the community. It may appeal to someone who values flexibility, enjoys working independently and is motivated by developing a local territory.
The role is based in Oxford, with domiciliary appointments across the surrounding territory.
