Our client is seeking a strategic and commercially driven Optometrist to join as a National KOL Manager to support the growth of its Optometry and ophthalmology portfolio across the UK. Reporting directly to the Commercial Director, you will lead the development and execution of a national KOL engagement plan, foster strong clinical partnerships, and play a key role in delivering commercial success.

Key Responsibilities:
• Design and execute a national account plan using market, environmental, and customer data insights.
• Fully map and engage with Key Opinion Leaders to build advocacy and strategic partnerships.
• Deliver training and familiarisation programmes for customers and centres of excellence.
• Present product information and real-world data effectively in collaboration with medical and commercial colleagues.
• Monitor NHS and private sector developments, ensuring timely responses to changes in the healthcare landscape.
• Align all customer engagement with SOPs and ABPI Code of Practice, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance.
• Collaborate with the sales team to drive national performance and exceed sales targets.
What You’ll Bring:
• Qualified Optometrist or relevant degree/equivalent qualification in life sciences or healthcare.
• Commercial experience in ophthalmology or eye care is strongly preferred.
• Excellent understanding of the UK healthcare system, including NHS and private networks.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
• Confident in presenting scientific and technical information to clinical audiences.
• Highly analytical, with excellent planning, prioritisation and project management capabilities.
• Comfortable working independently in a national, field-based capacity.
