Area Manager Jobs East Midlands

JOB Details:

Job Overview

Flame Health Audiology have been instructed to work with our client on an Area Manager role covering the East Midlands and Anglia, offered with a base salary of £58,000 to £59,000 plus performance-related bonus, company car or car allowance, and a hybrid working pattern. This is a strong fit for an experienced audiology or optical professional who brings business development skill, multi-site leadership, and the confidence to influence both teams and partner practices.

About the Job

This role combines field-based leadership, strategic growth, and people management across a regional network of independent optical partners. You will work closely with practices and clinicians to support new site launches using a six-week onboarding plan, coordinate open days in the local community, and build commercial relationships that support tailored growth plans.

A key part of the role is leading and developing a team of audiologists and Hearing Care Assistants, with regular monthly visits and two weekly virtual meetings to maintain momentum, support standards, and promote strong patient outcomes. You will also work with internal teams including Marketing, Recruitment, Professional Services, New Business, and the Senior Leadership Team, using KPIs, ROI, and quarterly business reviews to track performance and identify further partner opportunities.

About the Employer

Our client is a purpose-driven hearing care provider working with independent optical partners and focused on putting patients and people at the center of its work. The business is described as one of the UK’s most respected and fastest-growing providers in its field, with a collaborative culture that brings together senior leaders and specialist colleagues in support of regional expansion and service quality.

What We Are Looking For

A background in audiology or optical is essential, alongside proven experience in business development and multi-site people leadership. You will also need strong commercial awareness, operational delivery experience, and a track record of managing and developing clinical teams.

The role calls for excellent interpersonal and influencing skills, the ability to delegate effectively, and confidence working with a range of stakeholders across multiple internal departments. Experience building trusted partner relationships and supporting team performance through a mix of structure, mentoring, and collaboration will be important.

Who This Role Suits

This role will suit someone who already has regional leadership experience and wants to use it in a position with real commercial and people impact. It will appeal to a candidate who enjoys building relationships, supporting growth, and helping teams deliver better results for practices and patients alike.

Job Location

The role covers the East Midlands and Anglia, with hybrid working and regular travel across partner practice locations in the region. Cambridge and Nottingham are both referenced within the remit, so this will suit someone comfortable working across a broad geographic patch.
