Flame Health Audiology have been instructed to recruit a Hearing Aid Audiologist for an onsite role in Swindon. The position offers a weekday rota of Monday to Friday, 9am to 5.30pm, basic salary for this vacancy is £52,000, with uncapped tiered commission is also offered, with on-target earnings stated to exceed £75,000. This role may suit an audiologist who values clinical autonomy and ongoing support.
Reporting to the Branch Manager, you will provide hearing care through a varied schedule of assessments, aftercare and wax removal appointments. You will have autonomy over your schedule and time to deliver personalised consultations, supported by equipment including video otoscopy, tympanometry, speech testing, real-ear measurements, microsuction and irrigation tools.
The employer is not tied to specific hearing aid manufacturers, giving you scope to select solutions suited to each patient. A three-week induction introduces the organisation’s approach, equipment and service standards, with wax removal training available where needed. You will also have access to ongoing support from the clinical care team and opportunities for continued development.
Our client is an independent, family-run provider of optical and hearing care services. Its approach places patient care at the centre of the service and gives hearing care professionals the freedom to recommend solutions from across the market rather than being restricted to a particular manufacturer.
The organisation supports professional learning through development plans, training and annual conferences featuring workshops, seminars and industry updates. It also holds events to recognise colleagues’ achievements. The role includes a company car or car allowance, a medical cash plan, gym membership, paid volunteering time and annual leave that includes commission coverage during the first 25 days.
HCPC registration is relevant to this role. Applications from candidates awaiting registration are welcome, and support may be available to help them obtain it. The employer is open to applicants moving from either NHS or private practice, and provides an induction intended to help them become confident in the clinic setting.
You should be comfortable carrying out hearing assessments, aftercare and wax removal, and using the clinical equipment provided. A patient-focused approach, sound judgement when recommending suitable hearing solutions and the ability to work autonomously within a supportive team are important to the position.
This opportunity may appeal to an audiologist seeking a weekday role where they can take ownership of their schedule while having access to clinical support and development. It could also suit someone moving between NHS and private practice who would value a structured induction and the flexibility to recommend solutions according to each patient’s needs.
