Flame Health’s Optometry division is currently working in partnership with a well-established independent optical practice to recruit an experienced Optical Practice Manager based in Grimsby.

The Role
As Practice Manager, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day running of the practice, ensuring the delivery of a consistently high standard of clinical and customer care. You will lead and support the team, driving performance while maintaining a strong focus on the overall patient journey.

You will play a key role in developing the practice further, building on its loyal patient base and contributing to its continued success.

Key Responsibilities
You will oversee all operational aspects of the practice, including team leadership, rota management and ensuring efficient day-to-day performance. Coaching, mentoring and developing staff will be central to the role, helping to create a positive and high-performing team culture.

You will also ensure that the practice consistently delivers an outstanding patient experience, maintaining high standards across both clinical and retail environments. A good understanding of commercial performance, including sales and operational targets, will be important in supporting the ongoing growth of the business.

Working Pattern
This is a part-time position (4 days per week) with no Sunday or evening requirements, offering an excellent work-life balance.

Requirements
The ideal candidate will have previous experience within an optical setting, ideally in a supervisory or management capacity. Strong leadership skills, commercial awareness and a patient-focused approach are essential.

You should be an effective communicator, highly organised and confident in managing both people and processes within a busy practice environment.
