Flame Health Pharmacy have been instructed to recruit a Superintendent Pharmacist for an onsite position in Berkshire, offering £90,000–£110,000 plus bonus. As Superintendent Pharmacist, you will provide professional and clinical leadership for the pharmacy, overseeing safe, effective and compliant services. You will lead pharmacists, technicians, dispensers and operational colleagues, while shaping the pharmacy’s strategic direction and supporting a culture of accountability, learning and continuous improvement.
The role includes oversight of responsible pharmacist activities, pharmacy records, prescription governance, controlled drugs, quality assurance, audits, investigations and standard operating procedures. You will ensure medicines are sourced, stored, handled and supplied safely, while supporting training, competency assessment and professional development.
Working with senior colleagues across Clinical, Operations, Governance, Technology, Product and Wholesale, you will help develop systems, automation, patient pathways and processes that support growth without compromising safety or compliance. You will also represent the pharmacy with regulators, suppliers, industry bodies and other external stakeholders.

You must be a Registered Pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council. Significant leadership experience within a pharmacy environment is required, together with a strong understanding of UK pharmacy legislation, governance and regulatory frameworks.
You will need a proven record of leading teams through growth, change and operational transformation, ideally in a complex, high-volume or non-traditional pharmacy setting. The successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional leadership, stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence registered professionals and colleagues at all levels.
