Flame Health Pharmacy are currently recruiting for an experienced and clinically confident Independent Prescribing Pharmacist to join our client’s established online pharmacy service based in Bristol.

Our client is a Bristol-based online pharmacy delivering NHS and private services across the UK. The organisation operates under strict regulatory compliance and is registered with the:

Their service undergoes routine regulatory inspections to ensure compliance with UK prescribing standards, safeguarding, and clinical governance frameworks.
Patients complete structured digital consultations via a secure platform, which are reviewed by qualified prescribers. The organisation prioritises safe prescribing, robust clinical assessment, and evidence-based decision-making.
This is primarily an office-based role in Bristol, with scope for hybrid working for the right candidate.
As an Independent Prescribing Pharmacist, you will:
Review structured online consultations for NHS and private patients
Conduct thorough clinical assessments using UK prescribing guidelines
Make safe, independent prescribing decisions
Ensure timely and appropriate patient communication
Escalate or refer cases where clinically indicated
Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
Contribute to ongoing development of prescribing protocols and SOPs
This is a fast-paced but well-supported environment, ideal for a pharmacist who is confident working autonomously while maintaining high clinical governance standards.
Previous prescribing experience is preferred but not essential.
Experience or clinical interest in any of the following areas would be advantageous:
Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT)
Weight Management
Erectile Dysfunction
Long-term condition management
Current GPhC registration
Independent Prescriber annotation
Strong clinical reasoning and risk assessment skills
Excellent written communication skills (digital-first setting)
Commitment to patient safety and ethical prescribing
