Key Account Manager Jobs Scotland

JOB Details:

Job Overview

Flame Health has been instructed to recruit a Key Account Manager for a confidential pharmaceutical client in Scotland. Ideally based in the Central Belt of Scotland working remotely, the role offers a salary of £60,000 to £65,000 per annum, plus bonus and car allowance, and will suit an experienced Key Account Manager (KAM) who understands the UK healthcare environment and can turn insight into measurable sales growth.

About the Job

This role is focused on delivering sales growth for ophthalmology assets by meeting and exceeding account plan targets. You will own the account plan, use market and data insight to prioritise accounts and customers, and develop customer engagement activity that adds value, differentiates the brand, and supports both short- and longer-term objectives.

Day to day, you will gather account and customer insight, profile contacts in CRM, review performance regularly, and adjust activity in response to results and stakeholder feedback. You will work across NHS and private systems, map stakeholders and care pathways, and support access through shared care, homecare provision, and funding routes. The position also requires close cross-functional working across the UK business, with responsibility for managing the territory budget. This is an individual contributor role with no direct or indirect reports, and all activity must align with internal SOPs and the ABPI Code of Practice.

About the Employer

Our client is a multinational company with R&D, manufacturing, marketing, and sales capabilities. Its portfolio is built mainly around hyaluronic acid across joint care, skin care, eye care, aesthetic care, and regenerative care, supported by nearly 60 years of research and more than 1,200 patents. Manufacturing operations are based in Italy and have been inspected and approved by major international health authorities, including the US and Korean FDA, the Brazilian ANVISA, and G-MED Notified Body.

What We Are Looking For

A degree or equivalent is required. The successful candidate will bring KAM-level experience in the UK healthcare environment, along with demonstrable account management experience and proven sales success within the pharmaceutical/ophthalmology industry. Strong knowledge of the NHS, including devolved nations where relevant, and the private landscape is essential.

You will also need business planning capability, confidence formulating business proposals, and the ability to work with CRM, communication platforms, and different data sources. We are looking for someone who is analytical, organised, proactive, flexible, commercially minded, and comfortable working with ambiguity. Strong communication, influencing, and prioritisation skills are important, as is a collaborative approach.

Who This Role Suits

This role will suit a key account professional who wants ownership of Scotland as a territory and enjoys building plans from market insight. It will appeal to someone who is motivated by sales growth, confident working across NHS and private stakeholders, and ready to bring a proactive, entrepreneurial style to a specialist portfolio.

Job Location

The role is based in Glasgow and is remote, covering Scotland. It will suit someone who can work independently while staying closely connected to stakeholders across the territory.
