Flame Health Audiology have been instructed to work with our client to recruit a Hearing Aid Audiologist in St Albans. This part-time clinic role is offered on two days per week, Tuesday and Friday, with a basic salary of £40,000 FTE, uncapped tiered commission and an OTE of over £75k FTE, making it well suited to an experienced dispenser who wants clinical variety, autonomy and strong earning potential.
The role centres on delivering patient-led hearing care with time to assess, advise and provide aftercare properly. Day to day, you will balance appointments including hearing assessments, wax removal, aftercare and related services, while working with a high level of independence and support from the wider clinical care team and Branch Manager.
Our client provides a broad range of equipment to support personalised consultations, including Video Otoscopy, Tympanometry, Speech Testing, REMs, Microsuction and irrigation tools. The appointment structure is designed to give you the space to apply your judgement, select the most suitable solutions for each patient and maintain a consistently high standard of care.
Our client is a long-established, family-run hearing care and optical business with patient care at the centre of its approach. They are independent and not tied to specific hearing aid manufacturers, which gives clinicians the freedom to recommend the most appropriate options for each individual.
The business places clear emphasis on training, development and colleague engagement.
HCPC registration is welcomed, and applications from those awaiting HCPC registration will be considered where possible. A minimum of nine months’ experience as a qualified Hearing Aid Dispenser or Audiologist is essential.
You will bring confidence in delivering patient-focused hearing care and be comfortable working with a degree of autonomy. Experience of wax removal is useful, although training can be provided through the induction process. The right person will be receptive to development, able to work across a varied clinic schedule and committed to maintaining the standards expected in a well-supported private setting.
This role will suit a qualified hearing care professional who wants a part-time position with clinical independence and room to build on existing skills. It should appeal to someone moving from the NHS or another private practice who values structured onboarding, practical support and the chance to work with modern equipment.
The role is based in St Albans, a well-connected Hertfordshire location with straightforward access by road and rail. It offers a city setting with local amenities and an established centre.
