The Opportunity

Flame Health is currently working with a long-established, high-end independent practice in Reigate, Surrey to recruit a full-time Optical Advisor.

This respected practice has served the local community for over 35 years and has built an excellent reputation for outstanding patient care, premium eyewear, and professional clinical standards. The business operates with a highly experienced team including Optometrists, Dispensing Opticians, and dedicated support staff, creating a collaborative and supportive working environment.

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Optical professional looking to join a quality-focused private practice with a strong patient-first culture.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting patients throughout their journey, delivering excellent service, assisting with dispensing, and helping the practice run efficiently day to day.

Working hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:30pm, with some Saturday working required.

Candidate Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will ideally have a solid background within the Optical industry and be comfortable operating at a senior level within practice.

The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years’ Optical experience, strong communication skills, and the confidence to work efficiently in a busy environment while maintaining high service standards.

Experience within contact lenses would be beneficial, although full training can be provided.

You should also be confident with:

Answering telephone enquiries, booking appointments, and responding to emails. Strong IT skills including email, spreadsheets, and word processing are important. Experience with pre-screening adults and children would be advantageous.

The practice is looking for someone adaptable, proactive, and willing to support colleagues where needed.
