Flame Health Audiology has been instructed to recruit a Hearing Aid Dispenser covering Torquay and surrounding areas, offering up to £40,000 plus monthly commission and a company car. This weekday-only position suits an HCPC-registered professional who combines sound clinical judgement with confidence in private sales and a commitment to patient-centred hearing care.
As a domiciliary Hearing Aid Dispenser, you will manage a daily schedule of adults with hearing loss, providing audiological testing and care in patients’ homes. Your responsibilities will include pure tone audiometry, masking where required, testing for non-organic and noise-induced hearing loss, taking aural impressions, selecting and fitting ear moulds, and programming suitable hearing instruments.
You will provide structured aftercare, use subjective and objective outcome measures, and apply Real Ear Measurement to verify fittings. The role also includes ear care and wax removal, equipment maintenance, infection control, and accurate use of digital systems. Reporting to the Regional Manager, you will work autonomously while receiving logistical and clinical support from central teams.
Our client operates in the healthcare sector, providing professional hearing care services to patients in their homes. The organisation supports clinicians with central logistical and clinical teams, while allowing them to use their professional expertise and make autonomous decisions in practice.
The package includes private medical insurance, a company car, life assurance at four times salary, health and wellbeing initiatives, a contributory pension scheme, 25 days’ holiday plus bank holidays, and access to a colleague assistance programme. Employees can also receive discounts on eyewear and hearing products after the qualifying period.
You must be registered with the HCPC as a Hearing Aid Dispenser, or meet the appropriate level of expertise for registration, with training provided where needed. Experience in private sales and a strong commitment to delivering effective hearing care are important.
You will need to communicate clearly with patients, colleagues, and other parties, work within your clinical knowledge and limitations, and maintain appropriate CPD records. The position requires a confident driver with at least two years’ driving experience and the ability to navigate multiple locations. You should be organised, attentive to detail, comfortable using digital systems, calm under pressure, and pragmatic when solving problems. A reflective approach to practice, awareness of professional boundaries, and willingness to contribute to supervision, training, clinical governance, and infection control are also required.
This role is suited to a qualified hearing care professional who wants to work independently while remaining connected to reliable clinical and logistical support. It will appeal to someone motivated by helping vulnerable adults in their own homes and seeking a weekday position that combines clinical responsibility, patient relationships, and private sales.
The role is based in Torquay and surrounding areas within Torbay, offering a home-visit service across the local community. The position is onsite and involves travelling between patient locations during weekdays.
