Flame Health Audiology has been instructed by our client, a family-run audiology provider, to recruit an Audiologist in Central London. The position focuses on domiciliary care and offers the opportunity to take ownership of a local territory, supporting patients in their homes while building a community-based service.
This Audiologist position is based in Central London and is suited to someone who enjoys working independently in the community and is comfortable with a sales-focused approach. The basic salary is £30,000, rising to £35,000–£40,000 for candidates with strong experience and qualifications; the package also includes an approximate £6,000–£7,000 car allowance, paid mileage and commission, with stated OTE of £120,000.
Around 90% of the work is expected to involve home visits across an assigned territory. You will carry out hearing tests, fittings and associated services, with appointments arranged by a diary manager and typically comprising a mix of tests and fittings. Visits usually last around an hour and a half, with three to six appointments on a typical day.
Working days are flexible. Mileage is paid for work-related travel, which must be recorded, and the necessary equipment, including an audiometer, is provided. Depending on your experience, training may include up to six to eight weeks on the road with a qualified audiologist. A company car may be available after a probationary period for someone considered to have long-term potential, with fuel paid.
Our client is a family-run provider with an established presence in the audiology sector and plans to expand its operations into new areas. Its care model centres on visiting patients in their homes, with a local shopfront and operating base also likely to form part of its presence.
The opportunity offers an audiologist the chance to contribute directly to the development of a territory while delivering care within the community. The combination of home-based appointments, flexible working days and performance-related commission may appeal to someone who values autonomy and wants their work to support the growth of a local service.
You will need to be an audiologist able to carry out hearing tests and fittings in a domiciliary setting, travel within a territory and take a sales-focused approach. Strong experience and qualifications are valued, and may support a higher basic salary.
The position calls for someone able to manage appointments independently, keep accurate records of work-related travel and provide a considered service to patients during home visits. A confident, organised approach to working in the community will be important, alongside motivation to make the most of flexible working and commission linked to performance.
This position may suit an audiologist ready to take greater ownership of their working day and build experience managing a local territory. It could be a good next step for someone motivated by community-based patient care, flexibility and the opportunity to increase earnings through their performance.
The position is based in Central London, with domiciliary appointments across the surrounding territory.
