Flame Health Optometry is working with an independent optician to recruit a part-time Optometrist in South Birmingham. The position is four days per week, with a salary of £40,000–£50,000 per annum depending on experience. It could suit a newly qualified practitioner as well as an established Optometrist looking for a patient-focused role with scope to contribute to the development of the practice.
You will provide eye examinations in an independent practice serving a mixed patient base, with appointments typically lasting 25–30 minutes. The position is based in a single testing clinic, and you will work alongside a qualified Dispensing Optician and the wider support team.
The work may include diabetic screening, which is preferred but not essential. Contact lens experience is also welcomed, and in-house training is available if required. Alongside your clinical work, the practice is looking for someone willing to contribute beyond the test room and take an active interest in helping the business develop. The clinic is described as relaxed, with quality equipment and an established patient base.
