Flame Health Optometry have been instructed to recruit a qualified Dispensing Optician for a full-time, onsite position in Kent with partnership/owner potential.
The salary range is £36,000–£37,000. This opportunity will suit someone interested in joining an established independent practice and potentially investing in its future.
You will work alongside the existing Optometrist Director, with the opportunity to take over the current Dispensing Optician Director’s side of the operation. Candidates who do not wish to invest may also be considered.
This is a full-time position, ideally including every Saturday. The practice is closed on Sundays and bank holidays.
Our client is a small, well-established independent optical practice that has been operating for 25 years. It serves a strong base of both NHS and private patients and is described as highly successful.
The opportunity offers the successful candidate the chance to work alongside the existing Optometrist Director and, subject to discussions, potentially invest in the business and take on the current Dispensing Optician Director’s side of the operation.
You must be a qualified Dispensing Optician. Candidates from a range of practice backgrounds are welcome, so experience in one particular type of setting is not specified as a requirement. The opportunity is suited to someone willing to explore a significant transition within the practice, including the possibility of investing in its future.
An interest in taking on the Dispensing Optician Director’s side of the operation is relevant. However, investment is not essential to be considered: the practice is open to applicants who do not wish to invest, with flexibility around the financial arrangement. The successful candidate will work alongside the existing Optometrist Director.
This position may suit a qualified Dispensing Optician looking for a full-time role with scope to take on a broader part in an established independent practice. It is particularly relevant to someone open to discussing investment and a potential handover, while applicants who prefer not to invest may also be considered.
The role is based onsite in Ashford, Kent. Local parking is available.
