Job Overview

Flame Health Audiology have been instructed to recruit a Hearing Aid Audiologist for a permanent, onsite position in Exeter, offering a salary of £40,000 to £45,000 per annum.

This role will suit a qualified audiologist who is confident in hearing assessments, hearing aid fitting and patient support, and who wants to work in a setting where clinical standards and patient experience are both valued.

About the Job

In this role, you will carry out comprehensive hearing assessments and diagnostic tests, then fit and program hearing aids to meet each patient’s individual needs. You will also provide advice, education and ongoing support so patients can use their hearing devices effectively and comfortably.

Day to day, the position includes hearing aid maintenance, repairs and troubleshooting, alongside accurate clinical record keeping in line with professional and regulatory requirements.

You will work closely with support staff to help deliver high-quality care, while staying current with developments in audiology and hearing aid technology through continuous professional development. The role offers access to the latest hearing technology and clinical tools.

About the Employer

Our client is an established provider within optometry and hearing care, offering services through a supportive and professional environment. The hearing care team is focused on delivering tailored solutions that make a positive difference to patients’ lives, with a strong emphasis on quality care and practical support.

The package includes a competitive salary and benefits, opportunities for professional development and career progression, a company car or car allowance, 28 days annual leave including bank holidays on a pro-rata basis, and a generous staff discount scheme. It is a setting that values teamwork, ongoing learning and the use of modern clinical equipment.

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for a qualified Hearing Aid Audiologist who is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). You should have experience fitting and managing a wide range of hearing aids, together with strong clinical skills and a genuine commitment to patient-centred care.

Excellent communication skills are essential, as is the ability to provide empathetic, effective support to patients. You should be comfortable working as part of a team, maintaining accurate records and keeping your knowledge up to date through continuous learning.

A collaborative approach and a real interest in helping people improve their hearing will be important in this role.

Who This Role Suits

This role will suit an audiologist who wants to use their experience in a patient-focused environment where technical skill and personal service matter equally. It will also appeal to someone looking for a permanent move with the chance to develop professionally while making a meaningful difference to patients every day.

Job Location

The role is based in Exeter and is onsite. Exeter offers good transport links and the character of a historic cathedral city, with easy access to the wider Devon area.
