Location: Flexible/Hybrid (with national travel)

About the Role
We are seeking an exceptional leader to take on the newly created role of
National Director of Audiology, providing strategic leadership and professional oversight for audiology services across the North of The UK. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of hearing care at a national level, ensuring that services are patient-centred, equitable, and innovative.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide national strategic direction for audiology, aligning with wider NHS and Department of Health priorities.
  • Lead on the development and implementation of national standards, clinical pathways, and workforce frameworks.
  • Work in close partnership with commissioners, providers, professional bodies, and patient groups to improve access, quality, and outcomes in hearing care.
  • Champion innovation and digital transformation in audiology, including telehealth models, AI-driven diagnostics, and community-based care.
  • Act as the national professional voice for audiology, representing the company and profession at executive  level.
  • Provide visible leadership to the workforce, supporting recruitment, retention, and continuous professional development.
About You
We are looking for an inspiring and credible leader who can engage stakeholders at every level. You will bring:
  • Registration as a qualified audiologist (HCPC/AHCS or equivalent).
  • Significant leadership experience within audiology, ideally at regional or national level.
  • A proven record of service transformation, innovation, and quality improvement.
  • Strong ability to work across organisational boundaries, influencing senior leaders, policymakers, and clinical colleagues.
  • Commitment to patient-centred care, equality of access, and reducing health inequalities.
