Hospital Superintendent Pharmacist/ Experienced Pharmacy Manager Job Hampshire
Basic Salary up to 71K DOE
Performance Related Bonus 10%
4-5 days, 32-40 hours per week

We have recently been instructed to recruit a Superintendent Hospital Pharmacist on behalf of our established Hospital Pharmacy client.
They provides a diverse range of over-the-counter medicines and products, as well as pharmacy services for hospital staff, outpatients and visitors. We are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic and passionate pharmacist to join our clients friendly and dynamic team.
Superintendent Pharmacist Duties and Responsibilities:
Reporting directly to the Directors of this impressive organisation, you will be the Superintendent Pharmacist for the organisation and ensure all duties are adhered to and comply to GPhC Standards.
To develop and maintain all Standard Operating Procedures.
Undertake CPD and be responsible for all CPD within the organisation, from induction, training & development and assessment for all staff employed within the Pharmacy.
To lead, motivate, and supervise a team of pharmacy managers, pharmacists, technicians and support workers in the day-to-day provision of pharmacy services.
To manage staff selection, development, deployment, performance reviews, attendance, and employee relations among the clinical team.
To be responsible for creating and maintaining staff rotas, managing annual leave and other absences, and arranging cover where required.
To foster training and development of staff, including mentoring where required.
To ensure the safe and effective running of the Pharmacy making sure that all Pharmacy staff understand their roles and responsibilities in relation to the Standard Operating Procedures.
To be responsible and reliable for supporting safe and efficient delivery outpatient pharmacy services.
To monitor the pharmacy services against agreed targets and prompt corrective action when improvements are identified.
To review, develop, update and implement local policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all relevant standards.
To maintain stock levels in accordance with legislation and good practice, including rotation of stock and security.
To act on MHRA alerts and review supply of medication accordingly.
To effectively manage Pharmacy costs and critically evaluate to identify savings where appropriate, including management of medication waste
The Pharmacy is open Monday-Friday (09:00 – 18:00) and Saturday mornings (09:00 – 13:00). Working hours are scheduled to meet the needs of the business on a rota basis over the 6 days.
This post would suit an individual with previous experience working as a Superintendent Hospital Pharmacist or as a Superintendent Pharmacist within community pharmacy that is looking to make a change into a hospital environment.
