Job Overview

Flame Health Optometry have been instructed to recruit a fully qualified Optometrist for a full-time, permanent role in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, with a salary of £45,000 to £55,000 per annum. This position will suit someone who wants to work in an independent setting with strong clinical support, modern equipment and the opportunity to develop further if independent prescribing is of interest.

About the Job

You will be joining a stylish, well-run practice where 20-minute testing times, full pre-screening support and a supportive team all contribute to a first-class patient experience. Day to day, the role centres on delivering thorough eye examinations and aftercare, working closely with experienced colleagues in a professional, personal environment.

The practice is well equipped with an auto phoropter, autorefractor, autofocimeter, iCare tonometer, Goldmann, NCT and slit lamp, with OCT due soon. If desired, you will also be supported towards independent prescribing. The position offers a generous salary package and good benefits, including 28 days’ holiday per year, rising to 29 days after two years and 30 days after five years.

What We Are Looking For

You must be a fully qualified Optometrist registered with the GOC. The role calls for someone who can work confidently within a well-supported clinic and contribute to a patient-focused service.

Experience in delivering thorough eye examinations and aftercare would be valuable, as would an interest in working with modern equipment and structured testing times. Strong communication skills and a patient-centred approach would also be well suited to this setting. If yokeen to progress, support towards independent prescribing is available.
