Flame Health Optometry have been instructed to work with a family-run optical and hearing care provider for a permanent Optometrist position based onsite in Broadstone. This role offers a salary of ÂŁ45,000 to ÂŁ50,001 per annum and will suit a qualified, GOC-registered Optometrist who values high-quality clinical care, customer relationships and a supportive branch environment.
You will carry out comprehensive eye examinations in 30-minute test slots, using your clinical judgement to diagnose and manage a range of eye health conditions. The role also includes giving tailored advice on spectacle and contact lens options, working closely with branch colleagues to support service delivery and business growth, and helping to maintain a strong patient experience at every visit.
There is also the opportunity to take part in local enhanced service schemes and, where applicable, contribute to pre-registration supervision. Ongoing CPD is part of the role, with access to training and an extensive e-learning system to support your knowledge of optical products and wider industry developments.
Our client is a family-run provider operating within optometry and hearing care, with a clear focus on putting the customer at the centre of what they do. The business places importance on professional standards, practical support and a branch-based approach that values both clinical quality and day-to-day service.
They offer a structured working environment with fully computerised systems, access to up-to-date product ranges, and support for professional development. The culture is described as supportive and people-focused, with professional fees covered, staff and family discounts, and holiday entitlement that includes 25 days plus bank holidays pro-rata.
We are looking for a qualified, GOC-registered Optometrist with a commitment to outstanding patient care and professional growth. Whether newly qualified or already experienced, you should be confident in your clinical practice and comfortable delivering thorough examinations while managing a range of eye health needs.
The right person will enjoy building strong relationships with customers and colleagues, and will value working as part of a friendly branch team. A willingness to engage with ongoing CPD, local enhanced schemes and, where relevant, pre-registration supervision will be important, alongside the ability to contribute positively to a busy community-focused practice.
This role will suit an Optometrist who wants hands-on clinical work, time to deliver careful examinations and the chance to build lasting relationships with patients. It is a strong match for someone who wants to develop within a supportive setting while contributing to the growth of a local branch.
The position is based in Broadstone and is an onsite role. It will appeal to someone looking to work within reach of the wider Poole area.
