This role is based in Wales, where the Wales General Ophthalmic Services framework supports Optometrists in delivering enhanced eye care services at primary care level.

Optometrists with relevant higher accreditations may have the opportunity to utilise their skills within the Welsh primary eye care framework. Candidates who are not yet WGOS registered can be supported with guidance around the required training and registration routes.

This makes the opportunity particularly attractive for Optometrists who are interested in enhanced services, further clinical development, and expanding their scope of practice.

The role offers a salary of up to £65,000 per annum, depending on experience and clinical qualifications.

You should also be comfortable working as part of a team and contributing positively to the wider practice environment.

Experience or interest in WGOS, higher accreditations, contact lens services, or enhanced clinical services would be advantageous, although support and guidance may be available depending on experience.
