Optometrist Job Ashford

JOB Details:

Job Overview

Flame Health Optometry have been instructed to recruit an Optometrist for our client in Ashford. This permanent, onsite position offers a salary of up to £70,000 per annum, depending on experience and accreditations, plus a bonus scheme of up to £10,000. It will suit a qualified, GOC registered clinician who values patient outcomes, flexibility, and proper clinical development.

About the Job

The role is centred on delivering high-quality eyecare in a supportive, community-focused setting. You will work as part of a team that values quality over box-ticking, with scope for both full-time and part-time working and just one weekend day required. Flexible start and finish times are available, helping to support a better balance between professional and personal commitments.

Day to day, the position offers access to the latest clinical technology and equipment, alongside genuine support for ongoing progression. There is structured development for IP, Medical Retina and Glaucoma qualifications, as well as leadership pathways such as ILM. The package also includes professional fees paid, private medical and dental cover, pension contribution, death in service, Specsavers Perks Plus, a Headspace subscription and WeCare employee wellbeing support.

About the Employer

Our client is a community-focused optical business with a strong emphasis on patient care and clinical standards. The team is described as supportive, with a culture that values balance as well as performance, and an approach that places proper eyecare ahead of unnecessary process. This makes it an appealing environment for an optometrist who wants to feel valued while continuing to build their expertise.

What We Are Looking For

You must be a qualified Optometrist and GOC registered. The ideal background includes confidence in clinical decision-making, a patient-focused approach, and the ability to work well within a team. Our client is also looking for someone who enjoys encouraging others and brings a steady, motivated attitude without losing sight of balance. Tier 2 sponsorship is available, and both early-career optometrists and more experienced clinicians are encouraged to apply.

Who This Role Suits

This role will suit an optometrist who wants their next move to combine clinical development with flexibility and a manageable working pattern. It is a strong fit for someone who wants to progress, use advanced training opportunities, and work in an environment where quality patient care is genuinely prioritised.

Job Location

The role is based in Ashford, with discounted parking available and excellent links to London St Pancras. It is a practical location for candidates who want straightforward access for commuting.
