The Role

As an Optical Advisor, you’ll play a key part in creating a welcoming, professional environment for patients while ensuring they receive tailored advice and exceptional care. Your day-to-day duties will include:

• Greeting and assisting patients, guiding them through their visit
• Helping customers select frames and lenses suited to their style, prescription, and budget
• Managing appointments and supporting the clinical team with practice operations
• Handling orders, processing payments, and maintaining accurate patient records
• Carrying out fittings, collections, and minor spectacle adjustments
• Ensuring the practice remains clean, organised, and welcoming

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience as an Optical Assistant/Advisor within optics is preferred
• Strong knowledge of frames, lenses, and dispensing procedures
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• A professional, patient-focused approach with attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively as part of a small, supportive team
