Role Summary

Flame Health Optometry is recruiting for an Optical Dispenser to join a growing and innovative provider of workplace optical services across the East Midlands and surrounding areas.

The Opportunity

This role offers the chance to work within a modern mobile optical service delivering dispensing support to employees at corporate and workplace locations.

Rather than a traditional retail environment, you will travel directly to client sites and provide a professional, convenient service to workplace staff requiring eyewear solutions.

This is a highly autonomous role suited to someone confident working independently while maintaining excellent service standards.

Key Role Information

Position: Optical Dispenser
Location: East Midlands and additional locations as required
Contract Type: Permanent
Salary: £28,000 per annum
Mileage: Paid for travel between sites
Working Pattern: Multi-site / Mobile role
Hours: Vary depending on location, including shifts such as 9:00am–5:30pm, 8:25am–4:00pm, and 8:00am–4:00pm
Start Date: Immediate requirement

The Role

You will be responsible for supporting patients within workplace environments, where patients are employees of corporate clients.

Your duties will include dispensing spectacles, assisting with frame selection, advising on lens options, taking payments, and ensuring a smooth and professional patient journey throughout each clinic session.

You will work independently on-site with the support of provided systems and equipment, including a laptop, frame trays, pricing materials, and mobile payment technology.

Initial training will be provided before you begin visiting sites independently.

Candidate Requirements

To be considered for this opportunity, you should have previous experience within an optical dispensing or Optical Assistant role and be confident working directly with patients.

You will need excellent communication skills, a professional presentation, and the ability to manage your own workload across multiple locations.

A full UK driving licence and your own vehicle are essential, as travel is a core part of the role.

The ideal candidate will be organised, reliable, adaptable, and comfortable working independently in different environments.

Salary and Benefits
