Flame Health Optometry is pleased to be supporting an excellent opportunity for a Domiciliary Optometrist to join a family-run independent opticians and domiciliary service, based in the Manchester area and covering Lancashire and surrounding locations.
Our client is well established and highly regarded for delivering compassionate, patient-centred eye care within nursing and residential homes, supporting individuals who are unable to attend practice-based appointments. This role will involve covering Preston, Bolton Blackburn and the surrounds, providing high-quality sight tests within a rewarding community setting.
This opportunity would suit an Optometrist who values flexibility, enjoys building meaningful patient relationships, and is passionate about delivering accessible eye care.
Key Job Details
Position: Domiciliary Optometrist
Location: Lancashire / North West (Preston, Bolton & Blackburn)
Employment Type: Part-Time (1–3 days per week)
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday only – no weekends or bank holidays
Driving Licence: Essential
Transport: Car provided or mileage allowance available

Candidate Requirements
• Qualified Optometrist
• GOC registration
• Full, clean UK driving licence
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Compassionate, patient-focused approach to care
• Ability to work independently in a domiciliary setting
• Genuine passion for supporting patients within the community
