The practice offers a varied workload and would particularly welcome candidates with experience in contact lens fitting and dry eye management. Training and development opportunities are available for those interested in expanding their clinical knowledge, including behavioural optometry.

Key Role Information

Position: Dispensing Optician / Contact Lens Optician
Salary range: £35,000 – £42,000 DOE
Location: Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire
Employment Type: Part-Time

Key Responsibilities

Provide professional dispensing services and eyewear recommendations
Conduct contact lens fittings and aftercare appointments where qualified
Support and deliver dry eye clinics
Deliver an exceptional level of patient care and customer service
Work closely with the clinical team to ensure the highest standards of care
Assist with the ongoing development of specialist clinical services

The Ideal Candidate

Qualified Dispensing Optician registered with the GOC, or a qualified Contact Lens Optician
Strong dispensing and patient communication skills
Experience in contact lens fitting desirable
Experience delivering dry eye clinics would be advantageous
Interest in behavioural optometry welcomed
Patient-focused with a professional and caring approach
Able to work effectively as part of a close-knit team
