The Opportunity

You will be joining a successful and experienced team, including fully trained Optical Assistants, Dispensing Opticians, Contact Lens Opticians, and Optometrists. The team structure is designed to allow you to focus on delivering high-quality clinical care, supported by colleagues who understand the importance of patient service, efficiency, and professional standards.
The practice has recently undergone a full refurbishment, creating a fresh, modern, and well-equipped working environment.

Clinical Environment
The role is based within a modern, well-equipped optical practice with six test rooms and access to the latest clinical technology.
The practice has invested in advanced equipment including OCT and FARS, supporting high-quality clinical decision-making and a strong patient experience.
You will work within a collaborative clinical and retail environment where trained support staff are in place to help clinics run effectively and allow Optometrists to focus on patient care.
Salary and Benefits
The role offers a total package worth up to £65,000 depending on experience.
For newly qualified Optometrists, the package is worth up to £50,000 depending on experience.
Additional benefits include an enhanced joining bonus of up to £10,000, subject to terms and conditions, 33 days’ annual leave, an additional day off for your birthday, GOC fees paid, private medical and dental cover, and access to the latest clinical equipment.
The package also includes free lunches Monday to Friday, regular team social events, free off-road parking, and a supportive team environment.

The practice partners are committed to supporting further education and career progression, including funding and support for Independent Prescribing, higher accreditations, and pathway development.
You will also have access to one paid CPD course day per year, alongside ongoing clinical support from an experienced team.
For Optometrists with longer-term ambitions, there may also be support available for those interested in future leadership, clinical progression, or practice ownership pathways.
Candidate Requirements
The successful candidate must be a qualified and GOC-registered Optometrist with strong clinical standards, excellent communication skills, and a patient-first approach.
The role is suitable for both newly qualified and experienced Optometrists.
You should be confident, professional, team-focused, and committed to delivering high standards of eye care. An interest in ongoing development, enhanced clinical services, Independent Prescribing, or future leadership would be advantageous.
Candidates requiring sponsorship may be considered where they already have relevant UK optometry experience.
