We are working with a well-established independent optical practice seeking an experienced Optometrist to join their clinical team on a permanent basis. This is a high-quality, patient-focused environment built around advanced clinical care and longer testing times — not volume-driven optics.
About the Practice

You’ll be joining a highly supportive and experienced team, including a Dispensing Optician, Optical Assistant, and another Optometrist, within a modern and well-equipped setting.
The Role
Position: Optometrist
Contract: Permanent
Working Pattern: 3–4 days per week
Weekends: Alternate Saturdays
Working Hours: 9:00am – 5:30pm (typically finished by 5:00pm)
Testing Times: 45 minutes
Clinical Setting: Fully private (no NHS work)
Clinical Environment
Fully equipped testing rooms
Dedicated contact lens clinic
Advanced equipment including OCT and IPL
Focus on quality consultations over volume
Structured clinics with realistic patient numbers
Salary & Benefits
Salary: Up to £75,000 (dependent on experience)

What We’re Looking For
GOC registered Optometrist
Minimum 1 year post-qualification experience
Strong clinical standards and attention to detail
