Optometrist – Resident Role – Aberdeen

Location: Aberdeen City Centre
Employment Type: Full-time / Part-time

About the Opportunity

Flame Health is recruiting for a passionate Optometrist to join a busy, resident-based optical practice in Aberdeen City Centre. The practice prides itself on providing exceptional patient care, supported by a team that is upbeat, collaborative, and committed to improving the customer experience.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an Optometrist to join a well-equipped practice with excellent clinical resources, Phoropter, and OCT, allowing clinicians to deliver the highest standard of care.

Key Responsibilities

The Optometrist will:

  • Lead eye clinics and provide specialist care and advice to patients
  • Conduct comprehensive eye examinations using the latest clinical technology
  • Deliver enhanced services as required by the practice
  • Respond to urgent patient triages when necessary
  • Collaborate with external healthcare professionals
  • Provide clinical guidance and support to colleagues
  • Advise patients using professional clinical knowledge
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of best clinical practices
  • Work closely with practice management and senior stakeholders

Candidate Requirements

  • GOC registered (or expecting registration within six months)
  • Additional registration with the relevant NHS body where applicable
  • Committed to delivering excellent patient care
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Motivated, team-oriented, and professional
