Flame Health’s Optometry division are currently looking to recruit a full time Diabetic Screener to join a well-established, modern Independent practice in North-West Birmingham Area. They have built a strong reputation for the quality of professional expertise and service they provide.

Their aim is to be the preferred choice for eye care in each of their locations. They pride themselves on recognising the importance of their patients providing the individual attention they expect to receive.  

As the Diabetic Screener, you a consistently high quality care for the patients with diabetes. The detection and early treatment of diabetes-associated problems can prevent disability and premature death. The Diabetes Screening Service aims to detect and offer early treatment to people with diabetes who are developing sight threatening eye disease.

The post holder will have an easy rapport with people and have good organisational skills. You will be someone who enjoys patient contact, and who can make a clinic visit a positive experience for anyone with diabetes and will work with patients and will be responsible for both examining and gathering information from them to support the clinical assessment of whether or not diabetes eye disease is present.
