Life Expectancy Up In The UK
A recent study has found that life expectancy in the UK has risen by 4.2 years in the past 2 decades.
However, the study also found that we are behind other high-income countries in reducing premature mortality. The underuse of new medicines in the UK compared to other countries could be to blame for this fact, as well as the harmful effects of tabacco smoking on our population, and the problems we currently face with obesity and high blood pressure due to poor diet and inactivity.
