International Optom of the Year!

Flame Health Optometry are very happy to hear who won the International Optom of the Year!
Norwegian optometrist Hans Bjoern Bakketeig picked up the award for his “outstanding contribution to the profession,” after working on various humanitarian projects around the world over the past 17 years.
He received the prize during the WCO’s conference in Chicago, attended by practitioners from over 20 countries.
"This award is very special," Mr Bakketeig said. "I will share it with all the people who work with me, and my family, who support me to do this work. Optometry has given me many challenges and happy moments. I am glad to call myself an optometrist."
