National Glaucoma Awareness Week
The team at Flame Health Optometry are happy to hear that National Glaucoma Awareness Week is back.
National Glaucoma Association Week will run on June 11-17 and The International Glaucoma Association (IGA) is calling for practitioners to join the charity and help raise awareness of the eye disease among the public.
As an Optometrist do you help raise awareness already?
Matthew Spicer, Divisional Partner at Flame Health Optometry welcomes National Glaucoma Awareness Week,
"In recent years there has been an increase of glaucoma cases and these have primarily been dealt with by Optometrists on the high street. High street Opticians are highly accessible and in some cases a preferred route rather than visiting the hospital, so it is great to see Optometrists raising awareness of Glaucoma."
