Will the Olympics bring worry to London Pharmacies?
As the Olympics draw closer Pharmacies in East London are hearing rumbles that their stores may have to keep a pharmacist in the practice throughout the night to accept medicine deliveries due to road disruptions affecting deliveries.
The British Association of Pharmaceutical Wholesalers (BAPW) has warned that a revised medicines delivery service could see pharmacies receiving deliveries between midnight and 6am.
As a pharmacist, what are your thoughts on this?
Clare Brazill, Divisional Partner at Flame Health Pharmacy has stressed that “The pharmacist who has been working throughout the day cannot be expected to stay throughout the night as well. I hope plans are set in place to overcome such issues.”
