Pharmacies deliver 100k flu jabs in first eight days of service
Pharmacies in England have delivered over 100,000 flu jabs since this year’s immunisation campaign launched, PharmOutcomes entries reveal.
The latest daily tally of flu vaccinations, which is available on the PSNC website, shows that between the seventh and fourteenth of September 101,478 vaccinations were recorded by pharmacies using PharmOutcomes.
The highest number of vaccinations in a single day occurred yesterday (Wednesday September 14), when 30,745 jabs were recorded.
The total is significantly higher than that recorded for the first eight days of last year’s flu vaccination programme (9,207), which launched earlier in the month, but lower than in the same eight-day period in 2021 (106,438).
Flu vaccinations are currently available on the NHS to over-65s, pregnant women, frontline adult social care workers and people with certain medical conditions.
