Dental Hygienist - Weymouth area, Dorset
Flame Health are currently recruiting for a Part Time Hygienist to work Friday afternoons and Saturdays in this mixed practice in Dorset.
The practice prides itself on it high standards and an excellent reputation. The practice carries out Implants and Cosmetic work as well as private and Denplan dentistry. The hygienist will work without a nurse to 30 minute appointments or with a nurse to 20 minute appointments. There is an established list of patients and regular repeat hygiene appointments for many of them.
The Hygienist would be working within their own newly equipped surgery. They will be required to tailor their appointment times to specific treatments as prescribed by the dentists; this can vary from 20 minutes to an hour. The Hygienist will work closely with the dentist and will have full clinical support. The practice holds a meeting every 3 months where members of the team can talk freely about clinical problems and positively discuss taking patient’s treatments forward and concentrating on prevention.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and have a clear and logical approach to their role and discussing treatment plans with patients to ensure patients are comfortable and reassured about certain procedures and required appointments. They may have to deal with severe periodontal cases and therefore excellent communication skills are paramount.
