Flame Health Optometry are currently working with a high-end and well established independent practice based in Cambridge to recruit a FBDO qualified Dispensing Optician.
The role of the dispensing optician within this practice is wide and varied. Your primary focus will be dispensing excellent customer service to their well established patient base on an on-going basis throughout the day. The practice is busy throughout the day with tests being conducted on an ongoing basis and your involvement in the patient journey is vital to the success of the practice.
Your day to day duties will involve managing all aspects of Dispensing for the practice which includes all checking of orders, ordering and liaising with Frame suppliers, ordering and liaising with Contact Lens suppliers, fitting and adjusting spectacles, being involved in pre-cuts of lenses (training will be provided) and taking the relevant facial measurements.
You will be a qualified Dispensing Optician who is comfortable in leading a practice from a dispensing perspective and someone who wants to work in a technical and autonomous practice environment where you will be given extra responsibility over time. Your communication skills will be exemplary with a proven ability to demonstrate and fit high end optical products in a commercial environment.
On offer is a competitive salary of up to £29,000 per annum depending on experience plus bonus and company benefits. There is also the opportunity available to progress your career further as a Dispensing Manager/Practice Manager in the future.
