Recruitment In The Internet Age!

Social Media 2Recruiting and Social Media.. How does it work?
Of the 64.1 million UK population, there are 38.2 million active social media accounts.
It is becoming increasingly common for recruiters to use social media as a tool for finding candidates and attracting clients. But as recruiters and job-hunters alike become more comfortable with social media on a professional level, will the role of the recruitment consultant still be needed in the future?
We also recognise that, in a lot of cases, candidates can see instantly what jobs are available and who is hiring by simply going online. However, as James Caan states in his article on this topic (read more here):
‘Recruiters who are good at what they do and offer a great service will always be in demand. There will never be any alternative to human interaction, and both clients and candidates still want to talk to people that know exactly what they are talking about.’
We agree, and we pride ourselves on our professional and tailored service which we offer to both clients and candidates. So contact us today to find out how we can help you…
Here at Flame Health, we utilise a range of social media sites to help us to find and attract the right people for our wide variety of vacancies. You can find us on Linked In, Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest and Google+, and this list will increase over the next year, as we realise that social media is here to stay!
A recent study found that:

  • 73% of 18-34 year olds found their last job through a social network
  • 89% of all recruiters report having hired someone through LinkedIn. (Facebook and Twitter trailed by a wide margin, reaching only 26% and 15% respectively)
  • 59% of recruiters rated candidates sourced from social networks as “highest quality.”
