Flame Care are currently working alongside a care and education organisation who work with children and young adults who have had a formal diagnosis of Autistic Spectrum Conditions. This organisation is setting up a new fostering division and is currently looking to recruit a Fostering and Placements Manager who would be able to work with from initial conception through to a fully functioning department. This will be based within Head Office in Cardiff and around the surrounding areas.
Working as a Fostering and Placement Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the development, delivery and management of a comprehensive and quality service to foster carers, children and young people.
Ideal Candidate:

• A manager with exceptional leadership skills and recent experience in fostering and services for children and young people. Has an understanding of the different patterns of family life, knowledge and appreciation of the issues faced by children in care and foster carers
• Possesses an excellent knowledge of statute, regulations and minimum standards for fostering and has experience of their application, implementation and impact in an independent fostering agency
• Must hold a Social Work Degree and a Postgraduate Certificate in Managing Practice Quality in Social Care (or equivalent)

Practical expernence of:

• Setting up a department from initial conception through to fully functioning division
• Recruitment, assessment, training and support of foster carers
• Fostering approval panels
