UK Report on Jobs Published

The UK Report on Jobs, produced by Markit and sponsored by the Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC) and KPMG LLP, has been published for May and the results seem to be encouraging!
Here is a summary of the main points:

• Permanent placements continue to rise strongly
• However candidate availability has fallen
• Permanent salaries are rising strongly

Bernard Brown, Partner and Head of Business Services at KPMG, had this to say of the results:
"The latest figures also suggest that employees want more from their workplace than better pay and better benefits... individuals are saying that prospective employers are going to need to widen their offer to tempt top talent to move."
