Flame Care are currently working alongside an established care and education provider for children and young people, in recruiting a Head Teacher. This independent special school, based on the rural outskirts of Lyndhurst in the New Forest, is a high quality educational and residential provision for both boys and girls aged between 5-19 years old. The school provides education for autistic pupils and has passed its registration with the DEF for 25 pupils.
This is a great opportunity to lead and develop a new school for this national company.
The ideal candidate:
- A qualified teacher with senior management experience
- Proven leadership and management skills
- NPQH qualified is preferable
- A wide range of experience in special educational needs
- Be fully aware of current practice in special education
- A commitment to secure outstanding outcomes for all our pupils
- An enthusiasm for working in partnership with support services, parents and the local community
- Highly developed inter-personal skills
- Have the ability to innovate and see plans through to successful fruition
- Must be able to contribute to the individual development of staff, teachers and pupils
- Provide enthusiastic and positive leadership to a committed team
