Optical Lab Process Support Engineer Opportunity - Birmingham
Salary up to £19,500 p.a.
Flame Health Optometry are working with one of Europe’s leading optical manufacturers to find an Optical Lab Process Support Engineer in the Birmingham area.
The main functions of this role are to provide support and training to the assembly department in the company, to monitor, improve, develop and update the production systems and processes to improve efficiency, quality and cost effectiveness within the order process flow and to provide support and training to other internal departments where required.
To be considered for this role, you must have:

• Excellent level of glazing skill, with the ability and understanding to produce all products and frames from start to completion, possessing the in-depth understanding of glazing to identify potential problematic orders
• Previous experience working within a lens production environment is beneficial
• Knowledge of lens optical process (beneficial)
• Excellent knowledge of IT systems, computer and database with a good understanding of the software and systems for production
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office Suite including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio and Access
• Understanding/experience of project management
• Knowledge of technical customer support and procedures
• Knowledge of statistical process control
• An understanding of Health and Safety and environment practices in the work place
