Spending on Adult Care
Flame Care are saddened to hear that council spending on adult care fell by 2.05% in 2012.
Research from Prestige Nursing + Care conducted through FOI requests to 100 councils reveals 54% have seen a real term decrease in total spending on adult care this year, whilst 40% have seen decreases in spending per person.
This is especially worrying as 90% of consumers put no money aside for care costs prior to requiring care, separate research conducted by Prestige Nursing + Care revealed.
Flame Care think that these figures are worrying due to the now aging population. People are trying to plan ahead for the future and with decreasing statistics ahead, the future doesn’t look rosy. Can the Government step in?
