Complaints against Pharmacists decreasing
Flame Health Pharmacy are happy to hear that complaints against Pharmacists have decreased.
Alarmingly, complaints about GPs and Dentists have risen.
NHS figures showed that written complaints about the NHS as a whole increased 8 per cent between 2010-11 and 2011-12 – with the number for GPs and dentists rising from 50,708 to 54,870.
The GPHC received 447 complaints about pharmacists between October 2010 and March 2011. This fell 8 per cent to 412 complaints in the same period in 2011-12. However, the figures did not include complaints made about pharmacists to PCTs.
As a Pharmacist, what are your thoughts to these statistics?
