When did you last visit the Dentist?
Flame Health Dentistry were shocked to hear that the nation is cutting back on Dental Hygiene to save money!
The British Dental Health Foundation conducted a survey which suggested that 36% of adults were more likely to delay dental treatment to cover cost. A quarter surveyed also said that they are visiting the Dentist less often as a result of current economic problems.
David Holden, Divisional Partner at Flame Health Dentistry comments,
"I am sure I can speak on behalf of quite a few dentists and say that delaying dental appointments will have more consequences for the future. Regular visits to your dentist can help detect early diagnosis of dental problems. It is worth checking to see f you are entitled to free NHS treatment if delaying visits is something you are doing because of cost."
The findings have been published as part of National Smile Month, which runs until 20th June and is the UK's biggest annual reminder to look after their oral health.
