Changes to Methadone Prescriptions – Update
On 21st May Flame Health Pharmacy reported that pharmacy contractors have warned that some pharmacy businesses could face income reductions of up to £90,000 per year when changes to methadone prescription reimbursements come into force.
This week the Department of Health has defended its changes to pharmacy methadone payments, claiming the new system will improve transparency and "more accurately" reflect pharmacists' workloads.
As a Pharmacist, what to do you think to the Department of Health’s comments? Please let Flame Health Pharmacy know.
