Retention Renewal Deadline for Optometrists & Dispensing Opticians

The GOC is urging all Optometrists and Dispensing Opticians to apply for their renewal before the deadline of March 15th.
The cost of renewal has come as good news to the optical world as the fee has been reduced for the second year running. The cost now sits at £260.
Those who fail to meet this deadline will face a £20 deadline fee and those who do not apply by March 31st risk being removed from the register from April 1st.
Head of registration, Philip Hallam, said: "Registration is an important legal requirement for optical professionals and businesses. I'd encourage all registrants to apply without delay."
