Exciting news for the Optical World!
Exciting news for the Optical World.
Contact lens giant CooperVision have released a new monthly multifocal lens for presbyopia.
Clinical studies have reported the lens outperforming other brands in a range of measurements such as end of day comfort, vision quality and likelihood of continual wear.
The Biofinity multifocal lenses have been adapted from the company's well-known silicone hydrogel lenses of the same name to create what it says 'makes fittings more successful and lenses more comfortable'.
Made with a naturally wettable material which retains water on the lens and therefore reduces dehydration, the contacts also feature Aquaform Comfort Science technology which utilises longer siloxane chains and results in less silicone incorporated into the lens.
Are there any optometrists out there using these multifocal lens? If so please let Flame Health know your feedback!
