Welsh Community Health Services to be Protected
The Welsh Assembly Government has promised that funding for community health services in Wales will be protected in cash terms in 2011-2012, with free prescriptions maintained.
Although the Assembly would be losing around £860 million of funding from the UK government, the settlement for health would be fair. 40% of the budget will continue to be investing in health and social services.
